Here are some Panorama’s from a few of my wonderful trips abroad:
Hotel Nacional – Cuba
Cape Town – South Africa
Havana – Cuba
My very first trip to Cuba:

With the rest of the country feeling the effects of the ‘Credit Crunch’ I can honestly say I’m not affected…. Only for the pure reason that I didn’t have the cash to splash (or loose) in the first place. I’ve always been broke so welcome to my world…
That being said. over the past year i’ve enjoyed two great holidays to my (now) most favourite places in the world; Cuba and Brazil.
Having read so much about Cuba and learning all about the Cuban Missile Crisis at school etc I was eager to visit before the Cuba I had become to know would be changed forever. Much of what I read about Cuba was true to form, the old style American cars, the music, the rum, the cigars. It was like Havana was straight out of a movie…

What I loved most about Cuba was the people. Most Cubans are not allowed to have a passport or are able to leave the country. Most Cubans feel they are living in a ‘kept’ nation where they are not free to make their own choices a nation that had over promised and undelivered. Despite all of this Cubans have one thing that most do not and that is freedom from fear. Without fear, anything is possible.
Cuba Libre.
Rio De Janeiro – Brazil
This can only mean one thing CARNIVAL!!! I didn’t want to believe it, but its true what they say, the Rio Carnival is one of the best and biggest parties on the planet! for 4 days there are non stop Bloco’s at different times all over the city.

Bright lights and display’s happen at night when the best of the best Samba schools parade through the purposely built Samba dome. I was lucky enough to be part of the carnival parade. I can’t explain how crazy that experience was I’d never in a million years think that I’d actually get the chance to be a part of the worlds largest and most famous carnival.

On my first day in Rio I spent the day with a good friend of mine who spent 5 weeks in ‘Samba City’ making costumes for Carnival 2009 winners Salgueiro. I got to see first hand all the hard work and preparation that goes into making the costumes the floats the rehearsals and stuff. The floats are AMAZING!! So huge and with so much detail.

Nice pics iNap
I can’t wait to get to Brazil aswell.
